Dell teams up with Tobii to make Optical control of systems a reality!

On thursday the 19'th of september 2013, Dell OEM UK announced that they had partnered up with Tobii technology to create the Tobii Eye-mobile, a tablet integrated with Tobii technology's amazing gaze tracking technology.

This will hopefully become cheaper and more abundant in the future to help people with paralysis live better and more successful lives. Blue-Zoo teams with Dell to bring Q-pootle 5 to the TV

On the 16'th of september 2013 Dell London announced that the award winning London-based animation studio "blue-zoo" would be implementing dell infrastructure to help them animate an award winning book "Q-pootle 5" into a TV series to be aired internationally. With an animation history including Tree Fu Tom for the BBC and Olive the Ostrich for Nickelodeon, Blue Zoo have experience working with some of Europe’s largest broadcasters. However, upon winning the Q Pootle 5 contract for Snapper Films, Blue Zoo needed to increase its workstation and rendering capacity, and quickly due to the books success, so they turned to dell for robust and reliable technology with scale and stability, allowing them to work faster and more efficiently for less cost. Intel releases new multicore silvermont "SoC's" (systems on chips)

On the 11th of september 2013, intel San Francisco announced the release of 3 new processors that were formerly codenamed as "Bay Trail" which is available for tablets, 2 in 1 systems, all in one systems, smartphones, laptops and desktops. This family of processors are based on Intels low-power and high performance microarchitecture "silvermont" that was announced in May 2013. The intel "Bay trail-T" (formally known as the Intel Atom Z3000)is Intels first muliti core processor and their most powerful for tablets and some other mobile devices. The describe it as: "It delivers a fast and fluid experience and a powerful balance of performance, battery life, graphics and rich features" in their announcement. The flexibility of the new "Bay Trail-M" and "Bay Trail-D" processors allows them to work in multiple platforms such as 2 in 1's, laptops, Pc's and all in 1 pc's. NVIDIA GPU powers the worlds most energy-efficient supercomputer!

On the 28'th of July 2013, NVIDIA proudly announced that their tesla GPU accelerators are in use in (scale to performance) the worlds most energy efficient supercomputer! Based on a list called the Green500. (This is a list that states the worlds most energy efficient supercomputers in the world). The actual system itself is known as Eurora. It contains NVIDIA Kepler architecture-based GPU accelerators, theses are the highest-performing, most energy-efficient accelerators ever built - this supercomputer delivers 3210 MegaFlops per watt! Making it over 2.6 times more energy efficient than the best system using intel cpu's alone! And whats more is that the second most energy efficient supercomputer according to the Green500 list is a system known as "Aurora Tigon", which also uses the same NVIDIA Kepler GPU accellerators. NVIDIA tesla GPU accelerators are designed specifically to be the most energy efficient GPU's in the market, and have stayed that way since they were designed. To read more click here.
